This policy explains what information we collect through lawnandyardsolutions.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We are a local lawn and yard care business serving Tracy and Mountain House, California. We do not sell your information to anyone.
Information you give us
When you request an estimate, use our pricing calculator, or contact us through the website, we collect what you enter: your name, service address, phone number, email address, and anything you tell us about your property in the notes. We use it to answer you, to prepare an estimate, and — if you become a customer — to schedule and invoice your service.
If you leave a comment on a blog post, we collect the name, email address and comment you submit, along with your IP address and browser information, which helps us filter spam. Comments are reviewed before they appear.
Information collected automatically
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located, and what kind of device they use. This is reported to us in aggregate; we do not use it to identify individual visitors. Google sets cookies to do this, and you can decline them using the cookie notice when you first visit.
Our web host keeps standard server logs, and images on the site are delivered through ShortPixel, an image service that speeds up page loading.
Payment information
We never collect card details on this website, over the phone, or in person. After we have met at your property and agreed the plan, we email you a secure link to store a debit or credit card yourself. Payments are processed by Stripe through Yardbook, our scheduling and invoicing system. We can see the card type and last four digits on your invoices; we never see or hold the full card number.
Who else sees your information
We share what is necessary with the services that run our business: Yardbook for scheduling and invoicing, Stripe for payment processing, Zapier for passing website requests into Yardbook, Google for website analytics, and our email and web hosting providers. Each of these handles the information on our behalf under its own privacy terms.
We may also share information where the law requires it. Beyond that, we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Estimate requests that do not become customers are kept while they may still be useful to us and then deleted. Customer records, including service history and invoices, are kept for as long as you are a customer and afterwards for as long as our tax and business records require. Blog comments are kept indefinitely unless you ask us to remove yours.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it for tax or legal reasons. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in it, and you can decline analytics cookies through the cookie notice on the site. Children
Our services are offered to adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
This website is served over an encrypted connection, and access to our customer records is limited to the people who run the business. No website or system is perfectly secure, so we keep the information we collect to what we actually need.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we collect or use information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top.
